Welcome to the website of First Baptist Church of Kearney, Missouri. Thanks for taking the time to get a better picture of who we are and what we do. Our motivation is based on God’s love and our mission is based on God’s plan. We want to be . . . Loving Jesus . . . Loving People. . . Serving Everyone.

I hope you’ll see through this site a glimpse of what we Christians call the “gospel.” “Gospel” means good news. The message of Jesus is good news. We don’t have our heads in the sand; we know there’s a lot of bad news in our world, and that’s all the more reason to share the good news of Jesus.

When you’re able, I hope you’ll join us for one of our Bible studies, small groups, or worship opportunities. You’ll receive a warm welcome and be met by people who are learning to live for Jesus. We have people from all “walks of life.” The bond that ties us together is Jesus. So whether you like the blended format of our 8:15 and 10:45 worship in the worship center or the more relaxed band-driven atmosphere of The Venue, you’ll find that Jesus is the theme of our church family.

I hope to see you soon. My wife, Lori, and I look forward to meeting you in our fireside lobby right after one of our worship services. In the meantime, I hope you know Jesus really loves you!
