Why is First Baptist Church here?
As a local church, we’re
here to do what Jesus told the church to do. He
said it this way:
“Therefore
go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them
in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the
Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I
have commanded you . . .”
(Matthew 28:19-20)
Kearney First Baptist
Church is a Southern Baptist Church cooperating in ministry
with Clay-Platte Baptist Association, the Missouri Baptist
Convention, and the Southern Baptist Convention. We
believe the Bible has God for its author, salvation
through His Son Jesus Christ, for its end, and truth,
without any mixture of error, for its matter.
In obedience to the Great Commission, First Baptist
Church of Kearney offers numerous ministries to preschool
and nursery age children, school age children, youth,
young adults, median adults, and senior adults.
